ELL (English Language Learners)
The
ELL programme is based on meeting individual student needs. After an
initial assessment each student is placed into a small learning group
with students of similar ability. During ELL lessons students focus on
reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Each week children take home a reading book with comprehension exercises, spelling and grammar activities. Children
who have little or no English are issued with a workbook which is aimed
at quickly increasing basic vocabulary and language structures.
