iPods in School
Many students already own an iPod, so we would like to explore its potential as an engaging and powerful learning tool. We actively encouraging students to bring their iPods from home for use in the classroom.
While students may misplace their iPod - it could slip out of a pocket or be left behind somewhere,
every
iPod that has gone missing at school has been found and returned to its owner.
We are very proud of our 100% "no iPod has stayed lost" record.
One reason why we are so successful is the device information we collect prior to an iPod being configured to our systems. Every student intending to use an iPod at school is required to complete an
Agreement of Use
form
. Once these security settings and restrictions are set at home, each device will then be configured to our school systems, a lengthy process that will be completed as quickly as possible.
While almost all of our documentation uses the word iPod, we also welcome iPads and iPhones. Please note that our policy regarding students and cellphones currently prohibits the use of phones in school, therefore we ask students to remove the SIM card when using iPhones in the school environment.
