School Closure – Wednesday 29 May

School Closure – Wednesday 29 May
Teachers will be taking strike action on Wednesday 29 May.  As the Board of Trustees will not be in a position to provide teaching or supervision for students during the upcoming strike, we have made the decision to close the school for instruction on this day.  This means that students will not be able to attend school.  Please make alternative arrangements for the care of your child/children. The key message from the NZEI union on behalf of teachers and principals, in regard to this strike action is; "it's time to address workload and stress, increase resources for children with additional learning needs, and win a pay jolt to address a growing teacher shortage." We thank you for your support and apologise for any inconvenience that this action may cause you and your family. Dominic Kay BOT Chairperson
