Kia ora,

I am Miss Wind and I’m the lucky teacher of room 15. Our class belongs in Team Tainui where you will find me teaching Spanish during our Teaming programme. This is now my third year here at Berkley and I am loving every minute of it!

I originate from a farming family where I grew up on sheep and beef farms throughout Waikato. My parents, my brother and his family now live in the Taumarunui area where I love to visit as much as I can to soak up the farm life and spend quality time with my nieces and nephew. I attended Southwell School from year 6 as a boarder, onto Waikato Diocesan School for Girls for high school and then finally, went to Waikato university where I studied both Psychology and Primary Teaching.

I currently live in Matamata and enjoy the scenic drive to work every morning. When I am not working I love to paint and will also often have my head in a good book. I am definitely not shy of a trip to the mountain for a snowboard or a game of tennis in the summertime.

I believe life is what you make of it and Berkley’s motto of “Take Up The Challenge'' really resonates with me as I love to support my learners to take up all opportunities that come their way no matter how big or small. Achievement comes in many areas of a students life and Berkley sure helps provide the opportunities for students to achieve.
