Kia ora,
My name is Miss Mitchell and I am the teacher in Room 10. This is my first year at Berkley, and I am absolutely loving it so far! I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Berkley community and am so excited to be your teacher this year. I look forward to building strong connections with you all and making this a positive and successful year in Room 10.
In our classroom, I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment where students feel safe when expressing themselves and ideas. I believe that every child can succeed when they feel supported and encouraged. My goal is to challenge students to grow, take risks in their learning, and reach their full potential, while also celebrating their progress along the way.
I encourage everyone to embrace the opportunities Berkley offers; whether that’s trying new things, getting involved or stepping outside of your comfort zone.
Outside of the classroom, I love being active and spending time outdoors. You’ll often find me playing or coaching netball here at Berkley. This year I have been lucky enough to coach the 7A netball team, and it has been such a rewarding experience watching the girls grow in confidence.
