Every year, Berkley students have the chance to travel overseas: to Makuhari in Japan, and to Noumea in New Caledonia. They experience another language and culture first-hand, and come home with a new view of the world.

Live like a local with a Japanese host family.
Each September, a group of Berkley students travel with Berkley staff to Makuhari, near Tokyo. Hosted by local families, they are fully immersed in the community and experience Japanese culture and custom first-hand. It is an amazing experience, and one students never forget.

Every year, a group of Berkley students travel to Noumea for a French cultural education experience. It is a wonderful opportunity for students with an interest in all things French to use the language for real and get to know local people.
