Thank you to all families who have responded so positively to the start of 2022. We have had good attendance rates at school and have implemented quality learning programmes including the start of our Aongatete Camp programme. This commenced today with Room 18 setting off on the ‘Big Walk In’.

The picture was taken from the top of the Wairere Falls this morning.

We are also grateful to those families who have responded swiftly to any signs of their child being unwell. Keeping your child home to monitor symptoms is one of the most effective strategies moving forward.

We would like to offer further support regarding our Covid response and have a document with some FAQs which may help clarify any questions you have. (Your child will also bring home a hardcopy this afternoon.)

As stated in the FAQ sheet, if you, your child or anyone in your household is impacted by Covid, we ask that you email our Covid Response coordinator ([email protected]) who will be able to support you through the process.

If it is necessary for your child to remain at home, please feel free to make contact with your child’s teacher and they will be happy to provide links to online learning resources or to arrange for a learning hardpack.

If we can continue to work flexibly together, showing tolerance for staff and student absences, caring for each other and using common sense, we will ensure we stay safe, stay positive and look after each other.
