Kia ora Berkley whānau,

With the news that Alert Level 3 will continue for a while longer, we are making plans for next week and once again Berkley teachers are preparing to offer an engaging programme across all curriculum areas for students to interact with from home.

I would like to send a big thank you to the incredible community of parents and whānau who are supporting Berkley learners at home. You are doing such a great job under difficult circumstances. If you have any questions about the distance learning tasks, how to access content or require support in any way to engage your child at home please make contact with your classroom teacher.

An update for those who are learning in onsite bubbles... As I am sure you will understand, there are a range of logistical requirements that need to be managed when organising onsite learning in school bubbles. Given the size, staffing and testing limitations placed on school bubbles at Alert Level 3, we are less flexible in our ability to accommodate students at short notice. If your situation has changed and you now need your child to join a bubble next week please let us (your classroom teacher) know ASAP so that we can ensure that we have staffing in place to accommodate your child.

We are also planning a second round of deliveries of school devices to support distance learning. If your child urgently needs to borrow a school device in order to access distance learning, please contact your classroom teacher ASAP.

Thank you for working with us to keep our community safe.

Ngā mihi,

Nathan Leith

Principal
