Dear Students and families,
Welcome to 2024 at Berkley Normal Middle School.
I have been teaching for 20 years. Most of this time has been spent teaching Years 7-8, although I have taught from Year 5 right through to Year 12.
I have curriculum strengths and interests in Digital Technologies, Visual Media, Maths and Literacy. I enjoy integrating Digital Technologies throughout all areas of learning to maximise engagement and enhance learning opportunities. This year I am moving into the NAME OF SPACE space. I am excited to work alongside students in this subject area.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family – my husband, Mathew (we’ve been married for 21 Years), my daughter, Grace (14) - who is attending Cambridge High and my son, Josiah (12) - who is a student at Berkley. I enjoy Escape Rooms – which test my ability to solve problems, think logically, work out clues and co-operate with my teammates to break out of a confined room. I consider this a great way to spend my spare time! I also have a passion for animals – and our lifestyle block is home to a number of animals, including chickens, cats, dogs, goldfish and a rabbit.
Dr Seuss once said “You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So... get on your way!” What mountains will you climb whilst here at Berkley, and how can I help you achieve this?
